Our month of May 2009

Hello... Jordan and I went to the rodeo here in town. It was a really special night that we went. It was Breat Cancer Awareness night. Everyone was asked to wear pink....The had a special part of the show where they walked around a rider less horse to represent people that had died from cancer. It totally made me cry and made me think of mother in law who lost her life to cancer several years ago and is dearly missed by all that knew her...Love you Cali Anne Deming!!!! Jordan loved the rodeo and even got to ride a pony before the rodeo started. She was so tired when we got home. After she took a bath she fell asleep on the couch.

Carson is doing really well with his potty training. Last night he was just about to lay down and go to bed but told me he had to poop and we went in and he did go poop. I was so proud of him and it is so funny because he is soooooo proud of himself also. I had bought several small toys to give him after he poops. (okay...I have resorted to bribing him!) I gave him a small police car. He laid in his bed for 30 minutes or so just playing with that car before going to bed. He is so cute.

Jordan and Carson played so well together last night (which is somewhat rare around here). The were playing with the stick horses. I wanted Carson to go potty so I had taken off his big boy underwear and before he went to the bathroom he took a ride on the stick horse with no pants on. Of course I had to take a picture. Love that little bare bottom! While they were playing sweetly the decided to hide in our bathroom closet. Which is funny since I could see them perfectly. The funny thing is I very rarely get a cute picture of the two of them together. But I love this picture of them.

Well, I think that sums up our month of may. Hope June is happy and healthy.

Catching up

I haven't been good about keeping up with the blog...sorry..

the kids are doing so good. Jordan is reading and she is so artistic. She colors so well and she loves to do arts and crafts. She is growing up to be such a wonderful person.

Carson is trying the potty training thing again. I know he will get it someday and not really worried about it. He is really trying to communicate and talk with us. Sometimes it is really hard to understand him but other times it is very clear. He is growing so tall.

I hate to brag but my kids are growing up to be such neat kids and I am so proud of them. They fight quite a bit lately, but they have moments where they play well together and just love each other. Those are the moments I cherish!

Here are some recent pictures of our adventures.

Jordan had some fillings done lately and she bit the inside of her check so bad that her face was swollen and I felt so bad for her.

Easter

The Easter bunny came to see us! He brought mommy a new scrap booking bag and the kids 2 Easter baskets each! We colored eggs the night before. We were home sick on Friday and was a little afraid that Jordan wouldn't be feeling better but she is back to her old self. While Jordan was napping Carson took the chance to wear her sunglasses and pose for me! Love those kids!

Stitches and scrapbooking

Well, Jordan had to get 3 stitches in her chin......she did awesome. She never shed a tear. She hurt herself at the after school program and was sucha brave little girl. I was simply amazed!

We all got hair cuts the other day (thanks Laurel.....:) and we are trying to let some of Jordan's bangs grow out so she looks like a ragga muffin when the hair falls forward. Carson we cut in a buzz hair cut. I LOVE him with this haircut...

I went to a cancer crop that benefited Breast Cancer and had a lot of fun. Each table had a theme and we wore mexican hats and moustaches. Too funny. We had a great time. The time flew by so fast. It was held from 9 until 9 and I thought there was no way I could stay that long but I did and enjoyed every minute. The girls at my table are such dear friends and made it fly by. I am looking forward to doing that again next year!

Catching up

I have been very slacking in the posting department! Here is an update: Jordan turned 6 years old and I picked her up after school on her birthday and we went to the bowling alley and Cory met us there and the 3 of us bowled a couple of games. Then went to Red Robin for dinner. Then on saturday the 14th of March we had a party at our house for the family. The kids rode the quad and barbie jeep in the back yard and had a great time.

Carson is doing really good also. He is actually starting to communicate with us which is really nice. He tells us when he wants things. When you ask him a question and he doesn't want to do it he says in the cutest voice...no thanks...love it.

I do have to share a funny Jordan story. The other day she asked me and Cory if her school (Central Point Elementary) was one. And I said I don't know and not sure what you mean. And she said well some of the kids said CPE we are number 1! I thought that was cute.

I found my scanner

In the process of moving it is really amazing what you find. I found our scanner and have been scanning lots of random pictures. My sister Roxanne bought a scanner and she started it and then I became addicted to it as well. I love going down memory lane.. here are some pictures....Enjoy
