Our preschool weekend

Hello my faithful readers.....Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything, but we have been busy. We found a new daycare, then a friend of ours who has watched our kids before told us she was opening up her daycare again so we are switching to her (we weren't going to start at the other place until the 14Th of April.) So now the kids will go to Trina's daycare. We are excited for a change and it will be nice to switch to a daycare where she already knows our children and they know her house. She said she will even try to potty train Carson. God Bless her heart....We leave for Disneyland on April 6Th and will return on the 11Th. I am sooooo excited. But I think I have been spending too much money preparing for the trip...So look for an update when we return. We come back on our 9 year anniversary of being married. What a romantic way to celebrate by going to the happiest place on Earth.....:)

We have had a rather productive weekend. I thought I really can't bad mouth the babysitter for not doing preschool when I NEVER go any crafts with Jordan. Well, this weekend I have done almost every craft available. We colored Easter eggs (better late than never), we did play dough with cookie cutters, and we painted with paint brushes. We had a ball. I could never be a teacher, but we did okay. I even baked cookies and took the kids for a walk. I think I might just have a chance for the mother of the year award. Jordan was playing in her room reading some books and fell asleep and Cory being the awesome husband he is took a picture for me. (I was taking a nap). We have actually had a really great weekend. And now Carson just went down for a nap, therefore I actually get to take a nap (my favorite part of the weekend). Cory is going to spend some time with Jordan and I get to nap.....what a life... Hope you all have a good week and I will update when we get back from Disneyland......The Landers family

Pictures of her birthday

Jordan is 5 years old!!!!

My baby girl turned 5 today... She woke up so cute..telling me that she looked bigger today. I got her a hot chocolate at the coffee place (come to find out she threw it up at the babysitters) She is wearing a dress today which she looked so cute.. Tonight we have swimming lessons and then we are going out to dinner. I let her open presents early this morning. She was excited. I wasn't really going to get her anything since we did so many things "for her birthday already" but I couldn't help myself. I love that girl. She is so smart and loves to read books (or so she thinks she is reading) she loves horses and barbies. She is really getting into swimming. She was much more comfortable this last time we went. I am really glad. It makes me feel good when she is so confident in the pool.

Sick day at our house......

Well...everyone at our house was sick this weekend. Luckily (and I am not sure how) I didn't get it. Cory was sick on Saturday and laid on the couch, Carson loves to lay up there with anyone on the couch. He didn't have room to lay beside his, so he laid on him.... I love this picture. And bless Cory's heart, even though he was trying to sleep he let his boy lay on him and watch t.v. Jordan was feeling much better and was playing with her horses. I was playing with my new Cricut machine...did I mention that I love it?????

Finally....back to normal

We are FINALLY back to normal in our house. The kids have been sick for so long. Cory and I keep taking turns staying home with them. I finally took Carson into the doctor and he has an ear infection, so he is taking an antibiotic and is really starting to feel better. FINALLY....did I mention that I am tired of our kids being sick...... one day they were being very sweet and sitting in my bed watching a movie and I snuck in and took a picture. Love those kids...even if they are ALWAYS sick.

What else? I think that is all that is going on lately. We did get Carson the train table we had been talking about since before Christmas. He loves it (so does Jordan which cause several fights a day). Jordan has given up the sippy cup and for that we got her a truck and trailer for all her horses. She loves it..(and so does Carson....which again causes several fights and hair pulling..his new weapon of choice....a day. Very relaxing for mom..... Now our living room is totally taken over by toys. It looks like a day care gone bad. Very stressful sometimes, but I keep trying to remember that some day that they will be grown up and moved away and I will miss this mess. Right now we just walk around things and over things.
I went out of town with some girlfriends and spent the weekend scrap booking. It was so nice to get away. I came back and got my hair cut. I am not really sure I like it, but I am going to see how it works out. I also bought a Cricut scrapbook cutting machine, LOVE IT....I bought Jordan some glue and scissors so she can play and do crafts at the same time as me. She is having a great time. And I get to use my machine and she leaves me alone (most of the time anyway).
Since I got something it was only fair that Cory bought something. He has been needing new motorcycle riding gear, so one day when he was home with the sick kids, he ordered a new outfit and when it came in he was like a kid with a new outfit. He wore the outfit around and even let me take his picture. He looked very cute.

Update of Princess Jordan's room

Jordan's room is really starting to look like a big girls room. Cory bought her a frame for her bed, he also put in a nightstand we weren't using, I bought her Another early birthday present...a lamp and I did a rub on word that says princess on the wall. She loves her room and has been in it most of the day...hey..this new room is working out well for me too.... She was watching a movie and Carson got his cup of juice and went and sat on the rocking chair in her room for almost an hour of wonderful quiet time....Cory and I actually carried on an entire grownup conversation without interuption...It was a very beautiful moment....
