Thanksgiving 2008

We went to Bend, Oregon for Thanksgiving to visit Cory's step dad and his sister. Went and visited Cory's mom's headstone. It was a beautiful day and even Jordan noticed how peaceful it was there at the cemetery. Stayed 2 nights and had a ball. There was an indoor pool and hot tub at the hotel and we went each night. I FINALLY got the camera I wanted. A small Sony Cyber Shot...(PINK) and I love it. Brandee's dad lives in Bend also so we stopped by his place to visit. The kids loved it. He had donkeys, chickens, and ducks and the kids fed them. Jordan was so in her element feeding the animals. The child who won't get her face wet isn't afraid of animals. We really enjoyed visiting with Brandee and her twin boys...Austin and Kyle! I loved being there, but glad to be home...I loved Bend though because they had my favorite coffee place...The Human Bean...needless to say I went there during my visit.

My Handsome Nephew

My sister Roxanne (who lives in Maine) sent me some pictures of my nephew. Anthony is a senior and these are his senior pictures. I loved them so much I had to post them on my blog....He is such a neat kid (I say kid but he is taller than me) he is a gentle soul. I love him beyond words....My kids met him a couple of years ago for the first time and really loved him. He isn't one of those people that force themselves at you, just sits back and lets people gravitate to him. He is going to do something big in life and I am very proud of him! I love you Anthony William Campos!!!!!!!

Catching up with us...

So, good news in the Landers house...Carson went to a new daycare today! He loved it and did really good. the lady is awesome. I think we scared her before we took him there by telling her about his little hitting problem. She said he NEVER hit all day!!!! Who is that boy??? I am really happ....she said he fit in perfectly...like he had been there always. You have no ideal what a relief that is.

Jordan is now going to the after school program and LOVED it. She liked it so much she wants to go even when I am not working and could pick her up right after school! Did I also mention how much cheaper it is then our other daycare??? Okay things in the daycare department are working out.
Tried to do Christmas card picture shoot this weekend. Got a cute one of me and the kids, but Cory isn't in it and he hates to have his picture taken! So I keep telling him he has NO CHOICE and has to be in the picture and he said it is about the kids and not us...( I was like...it is ALWAYS about ME!!!) :) And of course yesterday afternoon...Carson fell off his bed (which will happen when you are a boy and jump off your bed onto a pillow!) and got a nice mark on his cheek! So who knows what picture you will get on our Christmas card...I already found the one I want at Costco and now just have to find the picture to put in it...I think I sometimes look for things to stress about!!!
I wanted to be a good mom( it happens sometimes!) so we did art projects...sponge painting....We had a ball and best of all it was washable paint and came right off.

Jordan's hair cut

Jordan has been wanting her hair cut so I took her down and she got it cut! I love the way it turned out and she really likes it. She can't stop swinging her head and looking in the mirror! She is going to donate her hair to Locks of Love (she got 9 1/2 inches cut off!) I am really proud of her!

The princess picture

Just so Cory gets his credit he took the picture of Jordan sleeping! He wants to make sure he gets the credit for it since I couldn't have taken it because I was asleep in the other room. I guess I didn't look like a princess since he didn't take one of me!!! Oh well, what a good husband he is to take a picture of her for me while he let me sleep. So if you see him, give the compliment to him!!!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

A local Orthodontist had a party at a pumpkin patch and invited the general dentist offices in the area. Laura then invited me and my kids as her "family" to go with her. We had a great time. They had a really nice set up.They gave each kid a cowboy hat (which they both wore and loved.) There was pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, decorating cookies, balloon animals, yummy food, and a tractor ride to pick out a pumpkin. We had so much fun in spite of the cold weather. The kids rode the ponies several times.
